Gorgeous iridescent foliated covellite plates form a colorful, very rich and hefty old-time copper ore specimen from this historic polymetallic mining district in Serbia. One end of the piece is peppered with sparkly enargite microcrystals, adding pizzazz. Covellite specimens compare favorably with the best from Butte, Montana or Summitville, Colorado. Old and excellent combination material collected before 1914, according to the three old labels. The exotic perforated label is 14.0 x 10.5 cm!
