Item Description
This is a classic Covellite specimen from Butte featuring foliated, iridescent blades measuring up to 2.4 cm long, with minor associated Pyrite on matrix. The piece is in good shape, with only minor bruising. Originally from the dealer stock of Les Presmyk (De Natura) with a value of $1,250. At one point there were a good number of Butte Covellites on the market, and now they are all but completely unavailable.
