Item Description
Cosalite is an uncommon lead-bismuth sulfosalt and this well-known deposit has probably produced the largest and finest examples of species known. This water-clear, lustrous, smoky quartz crystal, included with cosalite crystals, has lightly frosted to fully frosted faces, with one prism face mostly covered with iron oxides. Parallel-growth cosalite blades, to a very large 4.5 cm, are clearly evident in four of the crystal faces, with most of them protruding out of the quartz crystal. Yes, the smoky has a lightly dinged termination, but this is a very rare combination piece with huge for the species crystals. Older material from the early 1990s.
