Item Description
Another unique offering in this lot from the Larson Collection is this striking Trapiche Corundum crystal that's fashioned into a doubly polished cabochon, rounded on each end. The radial arms of the Trapiche "star" alternate between, rich, translucent, navy blue rays and variegated light blue to almost silvery, off-white rays for stunning effect! This perfectly polished lapidation has a mass of 14 grams. Trapiche sapphires are incredibly rare in nature and show these characteristic spokes radiating out from the center. This is a major lapidary object, for what it is.
