Item Description
A beautiful and classic Russian Sapphire specimen of this very unusual rossette habit, which looks like a flower. We see many partial examples, or pieces, but few so complete as this one from here. It has, in person, more of a robust blue color in fluorescent lights. The largest crystal measures 3.6 cm, and the prism faces are quite lustrous. The fact that it's on matrix is important, and it's actually showy compared to the few that I've seen from this locality.
