Item Description
Emplaced aesthetically on a white Calcite marble matrix, are four lustrous and translucent, rich pink-red Ruby crystals. The barrel-shaped, hexagonal crystals are from 0.7 to 1.2 cm in length. The crystals have great luster and are well exposed on the marble so that the crystal form is easily revealed. While Sapphires are known from this locality, Rubies are not common. This is a dramatic specimen with great color and strong display qualities. It has a sawn bottom to improve its displayability.
