Item Description
Here we have an attractive single "floater" crystal of rich pink-red colored Ruby from the Longido District in Tanzania. The crystal is complete all around with well-formed lustrous faces and no matrix. The crystal is doubly-terminated showing broad pinacoidal faces on each side, with thin prism faces around the periphery. No damage. The crystal shows good internal translucency when backlit with a fiery internal color. A great example of these fairly uncommon Rubies, especially in this size. Specimen weight is 13.61 grams
