Item Description

A pair of textbook, hexagonal Ruby/Sapphire crystals from Madagascar. Opaque with a well-formed, hexagonal habit, these floaters come from Ampanihy, a lesser-known locality among the famous deposits in Madagascar. The smaller of the two crystals is 2.1 cm tall. Strictly representative, nothing to say about for beauty, but they are what they are. ex George Elling Collection.
