Item Description
Two, deep magenta Ruby crystals grew in parallel growth and are accented by a partial coating of a white, fine grained micaceous mineral, makign for a rather dramatic display. The larger crystal has a flattened hexagonal outline and the smaller is more of an equant hexagon in cross-section. The richly colored Rubies are just slightly translucent and add to the aesthetics. The larger crystal is 3 cm in length with the smaller one at 1.7 cm. Other smaller Ruby crystals are evident in the white matrix. The Ruby crystals have an intense red fluorescence in long wave UV. Such strongly textbook shaped crystals are quite rare for Burma.
