Item Description
Here we have a classic North Carolina Ruby crystal from Macon County, though the specific locality is not known. I acquired the piece from a source who obtained it directly in North Carolina, so I know it's genuine. The crystal shows a deep purplish-red hue, and classic hexagonal form. It's opaque for all intents and purposes, and it does have a saw mark on the back. It's a good sized crystal compared to most I've seen from the area. A cool representation for a gem crystal collector, a Ruby collector or somebody interested in North Carolina minerals.
