Item Description

A rarely seen example of these attractive Coronadite specimens from the Rosh Pinah Mine in Namibia. Good specimens are not terribly common at this lead-zinc mine. When these particular were first found in 2010, they were sold as Romanechite, but Raman spectroscopy, PXRD and EDS analysis done by Bruce Cairncross showed the species to be Coronadite. This attractive full sized cabinet specimen features fine silvery-grey colored botryoids of this rare lead manganese oxide measuring up to 4 mm sitting on oxidized matrix. Very attractive up close and good quality for the species.
