Item Description
A colorful and very rich large specimen of the rare copper mineral cornetite from this famous and abandoned mine. Intensely sparkly, large and tiny spherical aggregates of beautiful cerulean-blue, cornetite microcrystals are complimented by a few botryoids of blue-green chrysocolla over a thin crust of heterogenite. These striking specimens appear only sporadically on the market and are much sought-after by collectors for their beautiful contrast of colors. Periphery wear on both ends and a bit of bruising on the right side are noted, but this remains a very rich, showy and highly representative example of the uncommon species. This is an excellent large one with fine color and scintillating luster. It displays very well without aid.
