Beautiful rich blue color on the lustrous tiny bubbly Cornetite botryoides that cover this impressive large and sculptural 3-dimensional specimen from the famous Type Locality. The piece is festooned with contrasting tiny grass-green Malachite botryoidal and scattered patches of tiny brown Heterogenite botyroids, adding more color and character. Cornetite is a rare hydroxyl Cu-phosphate and Heterogenite is a rare hydroxyl Co-oxide. The striking specimen form is very interesting in itself, as it is a cluster of intergrown brecciated fragments. This well-known extinct copper and cobalt mine is artisanally mined today and easily produces the world's finest examples of cornetite. An outstanding example of the rare combination species.
