Item Description
Cornetite is a rare anhydrous Cu-phosphate and this famous abandoned copper mine is the Type Locality. One side of this very sculptural large two-sided combination rib is richly covered with sparkly dark blue cornetite, beautiful teal-blue chrysocolla and a rich peppering of tiny, emerald-green primary malachite crystals. The matrix and most of the specimen is brown heterogenite. The back side is mostly heterogenite with far less cornetite, chrysocolla and malachite. Rich, choice and uncommon large combination material from this locale.
