Item Description
Cornetite is one of the most sought after copper phosphates in the world, for it's amazingly beautiful color along with notable scarcity despite its rather simple chemistry. This piece features beautiful micro orthorhombic crystals of Cornetite with that classic rich blue color, associated with minor green botryoidal Malachite on matrix. If you collect rarities, micros or coppers minerals, don't miss out on this color and eye-catching specimen. From the collection of Richard Kosnar (1946-2007), well-known mineral dealer and collector from Colorado, and the namesake for the phosphate species, Kosnarite.
