Although Congo has produced recent examples of the species, this is an old classic. Striking and beautiful, scintillating, radial starbursts of teal-blue cornetite lathes richly and attractively cover the matrix plate on this rare and excellent specimen from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The starbursts are up to 1.0 cm across. This is the older habit of the species from the well-known Type Locality - the Star of the Congo Mine. Seldom available in this quality today, and only from old collections.
