Item Description
Cornetite is a well-known, beautiful and highly sought after species. This fairly rare copper phosphates has a gorgeous deep electric blue color and its scarcity on the market makes it all the more desirable. This piece is from the type locality for the species and features small yet beautiful deep glowing blue colot "spots" of Cornetite measuring up to 2 mm with accenting green Malachite on matrix. A great piece for any rare species collector. Since the Cornetites are small, we used a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the qualty. From the collection of of David Burgess (1951-2016). David was a prolific worldwide species collector from Newington, Connecticut. He was actually the namesake for the extremely rare cobalt arsenate species Burgessite, which he discovered.
