Item Description

A very rich and colorful specimen of the rare copper mineral cornetite from this famous and abandoned mine. Intensely sparkly, deep teal-blue, cornetite microcrystals cover ALL sides of the layered gossan matrix. Scattered tufts of green primary malachite needles are a nice compliment. The bit of periphery wear is noted, but is only a very modest detraction. These striking specimens appear only sporadically on the market and are much sought-after by collectors for their beautiful colors. This piece has exceptional coverage on all sides, with is very noteworthy.
