Enchanting matrix piece carpeted with a radiant sparkle of microcrystalline Cornetite that has a mindblowing intense blue color. The color of this rare secondary copper phosphate is very difficult to capture with a video, so much more crazy in person! It is a darker sparklier blue in person. The piece also has numerous pods as big as 4 mm of an associated green microcrystalline mineral that is most certainly Malachite. The main display area is in good condition with some periphery areas that appear as small "holes in the carpet" of Cornetite due to wear but definitely do not detract from the exquisite deep blue sea of Cornetite. The matrix makes for a good contrast and provides some vertical relief to the display face. This captivating Cornetite specimen has a truly incomparable color! Ex. Robert E. Reynolds Collection.
