Cordierite (Iolite)

Item Description

Cordierite is probably most well known for it's purple/blue variety called Iolite. This particular Cordierite gem is from the Sri Lankan gem gravels, and is nearly colorless (it has a very pale blue hue) so it's not an Iolite, but rather a pale blue Cordierite.. The stone is virtually eye clean with a "Pear" cut. A very attractive, larger stone for the material.
