Item Description
A very sculptural and aesthetic, floater copper crystal cluster from the famed Ajo Mine. First off, the copper has a gorgeous rich patina. The stacked, sharp, variably-sized, mostly flattened, tetrahexahedral crystals look like a dog, with a large head, standing on one tiny leg! A striking piece, indeed. Classic, older material from this noted mine, that closed in 1972. Eminently displayable from either side, as you can see. This is a robust copper crystal cluster from the location and thus, to me, has a high valuation as it compares favorably with Michigan material despite being from this less productive fine specimen locale. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection. Valued $1000-1250
