Item Description
A sculptural, 3.6 x 3.3 cm cluster of crystallized copper is aesthetically set on matrix on this excellent specimen from Tsumeb. The dramatic spinel-twinned "feather" at the top and the four larger, flattened, spinel-twinned "leaves" on the right side stand out on this showy piece. The cluster includes sharp cubic and tetrahexahedral crystals and mostly euhedral crystals. For some reason of geology, actual native copper is quite rare in Tsumeb.
