Copper with Quartz - estate sale (significant, old classic)

This large, important matrix Michigan copper specimen recently came to us to auction for an estate. It was dirty, and clearly had never been cleaned - but now you see a glowing copper tree, perched on stark white contrasting matrix of rock and quartz. The piece is literally like a robust tree, with very heavy and thick crystals forming a 3-dimensional rotating cluster atop! This is 3-dimensional and miraculously free of damage and complete ALL around, 360 degrees. It is a large display sized specimen with gut impact, although not too large. I have to say, I was shocked when I opened the box and saw it in person, because photos could not convey the volume it fills, and the heft of it. This is a gorgeous, significant copper that would almost surely date from the 1880s to mid-1900s heyday here, and not later. It is typical of style we have seen from several mines in this district, so we will not ascribe a particular mine name. The quartz is a rich association here, which is rare. As a bonus, if you look closely, there are two small 1 cm gem clear quartz crystals with tiny inclusions of copper within, sparkling out of a pocket of matrix.
