Item Description
An aesthetic and sculptural crystallized native copper specimen from the older finds at the Itauz Mine. The arborescent crystal cluster is comprised of extremely sharp spinel-twins and tetrahexahedral crystals. The overall appeal of this fine piece is enhanced by striking variable patina of the crystals; some crystals have a beautiful butter-copper patina, even some iridescence while other crystals are preferentially coated with iridescent bornite. A few crystals are even half and half in appearance! Interesting chemistry here. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
