Item Description
An impressive, sculptural and uncommon large floater specimen of crystallized copper from this obscure Chilean copper mine. Several generations of sharp tetrahexahedral crystals with a nice patina compose this 3-dimensional elongated piece. Scattered embedded quartz points, mostly on one side and up to 1.5 cm, are fine complementary accessories. The piece has a striking biomorphic aspect with the elongated head, stout body and legs and stubby tail. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired in 2001. The piece was imported in the US by Skip Szenics. This is an exceptional large crystallized copper with quartz from the locale.
