Item Description
Dramatically sculptural large floater copper from this much less well-known cobalt-copper mine in Zambia. The fantastically vesicular piece is composed of corroded copper with a muted patina. Scattered green malachite really livens the two-sided piece up. Most of the crystal forms appear to be subhedral spinel-twins, BUT the fairly sharp, 3.8 cm well-placed spinel-twin is certainly the highlight of this rich and exotic rarity. Specimens of this fine quality came out in the 1960s to early 1970s. The piece displays well without aid. Unusual, interessting locality for any copper collector!
