Item Description
This striking, highly sculptural copper specimen looks just like a bright copper-colored phoenix or dragon with a very long arched tail perched on a promontory and ready to spring into flight! Spinel-twins comprise the phoenix and the copper in the matrix is mostly hackly. The patina is very fine. Undoubtably older material, but no proof. An aesthetic and fine copper from the famous mines at Bisbee. Choice material from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Formerly in the Jack Frost Collection of Palm Desert, California, according to Bob's label. The piece displays well without aid.
