Copper (Spinel Twin) - important locality find

This is a superb, pristine, complete twinned crystal of copper that twists and elegantly curves as it rises, from a special single pocket of amazing coppers found circa 2008 or so at this famous old copper mine. They had a few big seams of this style in otherwise barren rock, and then it was gone and this quality has not been seen since. Importantly, this was cleaned with water, not acid, and so it retains a fine patina of color. Loose, perfect, undamaged and fine crystalks of this size are today very uncommon on the market! This would have been considered large even at the time, and had our old label from at least a decade ago, with a $2000 price on it in the warehouse. It is a choice specimen, of superb location provenance, and is worth that and more today.
