Item Description

Here we have a fine example of the well known "Skulls" or "Bowls" of Copper from one of the most historic and classic mining districts in the United States. These specimens are formed when the Copper was probably deformed around a waterworn glacial stone, now missing, giving a hemispherical bowl-like shape. Pieces from Michigan are becoming more and more difficult to find on the market today, and this is a very nice display specimen of this most highly sought after material from Michigan.
