Item Description
Copper Country copper and silver halfbreeds are a desirable and uncommon species. This sculptural, rounded, flattened, floater copper nugget hosts a 6 mm, matte-finish silver nodule on one side. The lustrous copper has a mellow patina. These are called "halfbreeds", historically. Although both are metals and occur freely in these mines, seldom do they mix into such nuggets. Old-time material from the Dartmouth College Collection. The numbers match.
