Copper ("sheet")

Item Description

Most people are familiar with the Copper pseudomorphs after Aragonite from this locality, but to find non-pseudomorphic native Copper is rather rare. This arborescent "sheet" of somewhat crystalline Copper is a nice display from this historic locality. These pieces started to trickle out around October of 2007, and this piece is one of the better samples of this material that I have offered in this size range. It certainly has an organic appearance, very "leaf"-like. It has a lovely patina with exterior oxidized reddish Cuprite, soft green Malachite and blue Connellite.
