Item Description

Most people are familiar with the Copper pseudomorphs after Aragonite from this locality, but to find non-pseudomorphic native Copper is rather rare. This large "sheet" of partially crystalline Copper is a great display from this historic locality. The sheet itself has a graceful flowing appearance on the surface. It has a gorgeous patina with spots of minor reddish Cuprite and tiny areas with tiny crude Copper crystals. These pieces started to trickle out around October of 2007, and this piece is one of the better samples of this material that we've had to offer.
