Item Description

Well crystallized copper specimens are quite rare from this well-known locale, that is famous for the unique native copper pseudomorphs after sharp hexagonal aragonite crystals. This large piece features a dense field of knobby, elongate crystals partially coated with malachite. The crystals appear to be modified tetrahexahedrons, but there a couple of crystals that have distinct CUBIC form. A very rare occurrence. Probably older material. Ex Robert Hauck Collection.
