Item Description
Here is a wonderful toenail size specimen of the famous pseudomorphs of Copper after Aragonite from Corocoro. These floater specimens are well known from Bolivia for their great form and color, and this piece has the classic form that has made these pieces some of the most well known and highly sought after pseudomorphs around. This specimen is a very fine example of this material, showing the well known and somewhat hard to find "disco ball" habit. There hasn't been any significant amount of these specimens on the market in approximately 25 years, and they are often only found in old collections. For the size, sharpness and quality, this is a great example of these unique specimens. Good Bolivian Coppers are not common on the market, and I'm told that the locality was recently purchased by a Korean mining company, so collecting and obtaining specimens will become very difficult in the future.
