Item Description
Here is a wonderful thumbnail size specimen of the famous pseudomorphs of Copper after Aragonite from Corocoro. These floater specimens are well known from Bolivia for their great form and color, and this piece has the classic and unique form that has made these pieces some of the most well known and highly sought after pseudomorphs around. This one is especially enticing as it is somewhat hollow, and even has a "wing" of Copper flaring off the back. There is also some associated blue-green Malachite on the piece as well. This specimen is a fine example of this material with beautiful pseudo-hexagonal form. There hasn't been any significant amount of these specimens on the market in approximately 25 years, and they are often only found in old collections. I'm told that the locality was recently purchased by a Korean mining company, so collecting and obtaining specimens will become very difficult in the future.
