Item Description
This has to be the most unusual example of a copper species thumbnail specimen we have ever seen....a complete floater with crystals pointing inward into the central cavity, as if it is a space station in orbit with structures shooting in. This is a strange pseudomorph to begin with, with copper replacing completely the original aragonite crystal, and somehow leaving a central hollow. This is a mesmerizing specimen, seemingly never before published - although it should have! We have never seen the like. Alex's collection was particularly strong on coppers, and he spent decades chasing rare and aesthetic copper thumbnails.
