Item Description

A very rare and striking pseudomorph specimen from Copper Country. Native copper has pseudomorphed densely intergrown laumontite platelets in the vug with the coup de grace being the 2.9 cm, fantastic solitary outstretched "banner" or wind-blown "tree" dramatically perched on the top of the cliff. The matrix consists of quartz, malachite and basalt. Laumontite specimens, themselves, are not that common from the Keweenaw. An exceptional, rare and important old-time pseudo from the famous Franklin Mine. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. Value?
