Item Description
A cool specimen of the famous pseudomorphs of Copper after Aragonite from Corocoro in Bolivia. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only place in the world where Copper replaces Aragonite crystals. This piece has the classic pseudo-hexagonal form (it's actually a cyclic twin) that has made these pieces some of the most well known and highly sought after pseudomorphs around. This "floater" specimen is mostly pinkish colored Aragonite, but one corner is partially pseudomorphed by Copper, with a bit of mint green colored Malachite on the edge. You don't really see partial pseudomorphs like this, they usually have a full replacement of Copper. There has not been any significant amount of these specimens on the market in many years, and they are often found only in old collections.
