Item Description

Patches of native copper blebs are nicely scattered in the sawed and polished end slice of this classic datolite and copper nodule combination from historic Copper Country. Copper in datolite nodules is highly desired from the Keweenaw. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 2738 and acquired in the mid-1960s. Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). She passed away in 2020. An old-time classic from Copper Country.
