Copper in Chrysocolla (NEW FIND!)

This piece hails from a very recent discovery (2023) in Indonesia, and is truly different, unique and beautiful. We don't have a specific locality, our source couldn't even tell us generally where it was from, only that it was brand new and one of the local diggers brought it to the marketplace for sale. The piece features gorgeous dendritic formations of metallic Native Copper which are surrounded by Chrysocolla in varying shades of blue (from deep and saturated to nearly white), with a bit of host rock matrix. The piece has been sawn and lightly polished to better show off the bright Copper formations. It's a really interesting specimen, and certainly different, so don't miss out on the chance to get your hands on something interesting and brand new with beautiful color and form. I don't know if there will be more of these, and sometimes these kinds of discoveries can be very short-lived, though sometimes they produce specimens for many years.
