Item Description
An attractive gem from a new discovery in Indonesia in 2022. This area has an interesting Copper deposit which is producing some beautiful gem material, including these gorgeous stones featuring Native Copper included inside Blue Opal. The Copper is rich enough that it actually is the chromophore for the Opal, but you can see that one corner of this "Oval Cabochon" cut gem is white, so there wasn't quite enough Copper to turn it completely blue. A pretty stone that would make for a nice piece of jewelry, or as a unique addition to your collection.
