Item Description
An outstanding, large, floater, crystallized copper specimen from Copper Country. The very sculptural, large, intergrown, flattened, sharp crystals appear to be three tetrahexahedrons with a rare, spearpoint octahedron. The super-sharp, oval, tetrahexahedron is 7.1 cm. The crystals have the classic, pretty moderately bright copper patina and there is some embedded quartz and epidote on the back and one side. Classic and excellent old-time material. We saw comparable coppers at the Tucson Show priced at $6000-8000 and admittedly copper pricing can be varied depending on many things, but I think this is a fair assessment. We believe a fair price is at LEAST $2500-3000. It looks like a modern art sculpture! From a museum collection (sorry, no labels).
