Item Description

The Central Mine produced some of the finest crystallized copper specimens from Michigan's historic Copper Country and this is a surreal floater example with a fine patina. The flattened to sharp crystals form a very biomorphic specimen. It looks like a weird insect or fish with mandible jaws, a huge carapace head, legs (fins) and a very long tail. This fine floater looks good from either side. Classic, old-time material and a fine sculptural specimen of this well known material. Valued at $750
