Copper (ex Pat Gross and Rich Kosnar Collections)

Item Description

Although Copper is found in various worldwide localities, good pieces are rare from the famous Franklin Mining District in New Jersey. This piece features a few micro, fairly well-formed crystals of Copper on matrix. The piece came to Rich Kosnar from his mentor, noted New Jersey collector Pat Gross, and her original black plastic mounting box accompanies the piece. A cool specimen of this classic material. The recorded date on the piece says it was mined in 1959.
