Copper (ex Gary Weaver Collection)

Item Description

This piece is labeled as coming simply from Arequipa, Peru. It's not clear as to whether it could be from the Acari Mine or Cerro Verde Mine, so we're simply leaving it at "Arequipa". The piece is a beautiful branching, arborescent group of Copper with an eye-catching antique patina on the surface and minor spots of mint green Malachite alteration. The specimen honestly looks like piece of fire coral with its organic appearance. A very attractive and seldom seen display quality specimen of Copper from this unlikely specimen producing area in southern Peru.
