Copper (ex Dave Bergman Collection)

Item Description

This is a good sized specimen consisting of attractive leaf Copper with a slight amount of Calcite matrix. If you look closely, you can see dozens if not hundreds of tiny sharp cubic and octahedral crystal faces, so it's not just a flat "leaf". The aesthetics of this specimen are good for the material and is it very arborescent in appearance. From the collection of Colorado mining legend, Dave Bergman. Dave is now retired, but among other things, he was the foreman and primary person in charge of recovering specimens at the famous Sweet Home Mine near Alma, Colorado during the late 1970s.
