Item Description

Sharp, tetrahexahedral copper crystals with a gorgeous, lustrous, coppery patina are aesthetically stacked in clusters on this excellent old-time floater from the famous Cliff Mine. The crystals reach 1.5 cm and I particularly like the way the large crystals display at the top or ends of the piece. It has two fine display views. This is classic, old-time Copper Country material, as the Cliff Mine closed in 1887 - although admittedly some specimens have come out since from collectors working the dumps. Ex George Elling and Chris Korpi Collections.
