Item Description

Native copper with copper in calcite crystals are a highly desirable Copper Country combination classic. Tarnished, branching copper plates crown this very sculptural and aesthetic combination. The copper looks like a bird watching over its nest of "eggs" of very glassy, translucent, calcite crystals, some with included copper. The blocky matrix is covered with contrasting green epidote or chlorite. More copper plates and calcites crystals scattered about really add pizzazz to this very fine, old-time, 360-degree specimens from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Bob acquired the piece in 1963 and was formerly in the David A. Burgess Collection of San Diego, according to Bob's label. It displays beautifully without aid. Very fine combination material valued at $1250-1500.
