Item Description

Bisbee is synonymous with Copper, whether it be native Copper specimens or secondary mineral species. This beautiful specimen is from the famed Copper Queen Mine, arguably the most well-known locality in Bisbee, which produced some amazingly iconic specimens. This piece is loaded with dozens if not hundreds of excellent, sharp, well-formed crystals of Copper on all sides, measuring to about 3-4 mm on matrix. The crystals have a wonderful antique patina on the surface, giving the piece a classic appearance. The crystals looks excellent under magnification, and we've photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. A great old-time example of these beloved and sought after specimens from one of the most renowned localities in the United States.
