Item Description
Bright, sculptural, flattened arborescent two-sided crystallized copper from the famous Morenci Mine. A bit of quartz matrix anchors the very artistic elongated small cabinet with an overall spinel-twinned form, but actually composed of a myriad of rounded crystals with some spinel-twins. The striking bright copper patina is the result of acid etching the copper out of the enclosing quartz matrix. A showy, excellent and aesthetic Morenci copper. It has a fantasy human look to it, with the narrow body, long head, striking large curved nose and impressive mass of flowing hair behind the head.
